Obama Body Surfing V.S. Kerry Wind Surfing

August 14, 2008

For a little light humor I have to ask the question, ‘Are the photos of Obama body surfing going to be the “Kerry Wind Surfing” moment of 2008?’

In 2004, John Kerry’s wind-surfing at his home in Nantucket was captured on film and the incident became the joke of the campaign.

The Republicans, thinking the only way to recaputre the White House is to catch Obama engaged in a similar “act” have been waiting the entire Obama vacation for just this opportunity.

This is important stuff and it’s going to make the mainstream news cycle because of course, a “gotcha” moment on vacation is more important than how a Maverick can prod a nation into war, call his wife a “cunt”, laugh about “bombing” Iran, cozy up to friends of abramoff, ship jobs overseas…well you get the point.

March of Scum Day 1: Jerome Corsi

August 13, 2008

I had a different person in mind for my first March of Scum Day, however the more the mainstream media makes a big deal of Obama Nation, Best Sellers and Jerome Corsi, I decided Corsi had to headline my list.

Think Progress pointed out the Confederate Flag pin way back in January 07, but now, when Corsi’s book is getting publicity, no one seems to be mentioning it. I say we get this into the mainstream as fast as they made a story out of Obama’s lack of a lapel pin. Jeezz!!

What a sick bastard. And to think this is the kind of guy McCain wants to surround himself with. In fact, I suggest everyone write a story on this on their own blog. Today, John Kerry worked to wipe out this scum with his own site, TruthFightsBack.com.

I want to note one thing, for any visitors who might sympathize with a confederate flag. Jerome here was born in Ohio and lives in New Jersey. He doesn’t really have the right to claim heritage. He’s a blatant racist who will stop at nothing to see an African American in office. And we’ve already seen that he would stop at nothing to keep a Vietnam veteran from office.

UPDATE: 8/14/08: As if my suspicions needed confirmation, Jerome Corsi is set to appear on August 17th on the racist radio program, The Political Cesspool. The host, James Edwards, is a unabashed white supremeicist (you can read this fellow scum’s mission statement if you care.)

UPDATE 2: 8/14/08: In fighting back against the smears from Jerome Corsi and the Republican right-wing fringe, the Obama campaign releasted a PDF, Unfit for Publication.

Where’s McCain’s Flag Pin?

June 10, 2008

Where’s McCain’s Flag Pin?

On the night McCain delivered his most watched speech, taking advantage of the historical importance of those other two historical candidates, you’d think McCain would’ve done everything he could to deliver a knock out punch. Instead, aside from the gaffe on how to rehydrate babies with hot water, and the Hamas-green backdrop, he also appears to have gaffed the wardrobe by not wearing a flag pin demonstrative of his patriotism.

Now personally, I could care less, as I’m sure is the case with most other progressives. I even cringe a tad seeing one on Obama, knowing that he’s wearing this flag piece to convince the less educated that he’s not Muslim. (No, actually he might be wearing it out of respect to the veteran who gave it to him.)

But my cynicism causes me to digress. What I was trying to say was, for a Republican to take the stage and not be wearing one - well that’s just a bit too maverick for me.

And wait, listen. Where are all the conservative commentators, the media, and the stupification army in their plastic outrage. Fox News - don’t let us down now. Washington Times, please make this an issue. Rushie, this is so vitally important to this nation.

Secret Revealed: Now We Know the Person in Dick Cheney’s Sunglasses

April 15, 2008

Hillary Clinton Knocking on Back on the River with Dick Cheney

A few days back a bunch of news junkies like myself were trying to identify the naked woman in Dick Cheney’s sunglasses. While some think they found the answer (some even had the notion to suggest it was just a hand casting a fly rod), I got unconfirmed sources from within the Clinton camp that on the day in question, Hillary Clinton was not campaigning. Instead it’s rumored she looking for a way to get in touch with her base, reaching for booze and guns. This source, of course, asked to remain anonymous, so as to retain their unpaid position with the campaign.

You see here though, considering how I’m a high-class journalist, drawing cartoons, and poking fun, I couldn’t let this story just fly over. So I had to do some some field work. Instead of heading down to the tabloid stand (where I do most my initial research) I decided to open up Photoshop, zoom into that photo of Dick’s sunglasses (seen below) and really dive into what was in those glasses. What you have here (seen above) is an exact representation of what I saw (minus a few pixels here’n there).

Unconfirmed Original Source Material

It’s quite scandalous, if I must say, but makes perfect sense.

Note: I submitted this story to all the big media outlets, but haven’t heard back yet. Perhaps I should post it over at the DailyKos?

Bitterness in Small Town USA

April 12, 2008

Bitterness in Small Town USA

A slow news cycle means the silliness returns to the Democratic primary campaign. The most important issue facing Americans today, is Barack Obama’s “elitist” comment on the roots of bitterness and the justification of bigotry in small town USA.

My problem with the Clinton camp making a big deal out of this is first, there are much more important issues at stake (the whole reason Americans are bitter with their government) and it looks desperate on her part. And second, it’s pretty common knowledge that Obama does not pull well in rural areas of uneducated, white voters in the first place. Other than solidifying her base in rural, predominantly Republican districts, I’m not sure where this gets her.

Hell, either way, I thought I’d do a little pot stirring myself.

In Black and White (and Red) Day 7: China Olympic Disaster: A Silence Kept Too Long

April 9, 2008

China Olympic Disaster : A secret kept too long
I’m normally not one to recycle material, however considering that most visitors to this site are new, I’m going to guess you, my angry reader, won’t mind. (I’m assuming your angry, otherwise you’d probably not be interested in cartoons bashing China’s human rights position and the fact it was given the Olympics to host despite this obvious mark on its record.)

This is a drawing I did way back in the early days of this blog project called PixelMarx, I did a cartoon for the Darfur: An Unforgivable Hell on Earth. Since then, this cartoon’s been buried. That was until recently, as the public began to awaken to this whole issue.

Now with the protests surrounding the Olympic Torch relay, the image is all the more relevant. Those who’ve already seen this, I apologize (well maybe not).

You can read the original post, Foul Smell from Beijing More than Olympic Sized Pollution.

There are a few comments, including the most recent one just the other day.

Sier wrote, “Your drawing is based on your biased imagination and showing you have not any real knowledge about China.” To the biased imagination part, I fully agree (in fact I’m thinking I might steal that line when describing what I do here - drawings biased by my imagination - it has a special ring to it. But I digress.

Instead, I’m making my own pledge to boycott the Olympics, the whole thing. I’m not going to read, watch, pay any attention to the event. It’ll tie nicely into my boycott of NBC and the rest of mainstream media. And to all those who say boycotts don’t work…don’t think you persuade me :).

Note: For anyone wondering who the man behind the mask might be, it’s Hu Jintao (pronounced “who”).

Hillary, I’d be happy with my shirt back…

Hillary Clinton and the Deal with the American Working Class
The grapevine (aka the Politico) says Hillary Clinton and company is having a hard time paying their bills. Now, as a voter, this concerns me. I’m a social liberal but when it comes to finances I tend to be more conservative. (Social Liberal Fiscal Conservative…SLFC…hmmm there might be personality identifier there). I wonder what my readers tend to be?

But I’m getting off topic.

I understand and value the what taxes do and so I shell out my fair share, but I want my taxes to be well spent, and the idea that the Clinton campaign is so broke that they’re having to let small businesses 60 days past due irks me - mostly because I know a little bit of what it’s like to be waiting for a check in the mail. What does this say about how a HRClinton White House would be run? Democrats on the Clinton bandwagon like to reflect on the days of yore when Bill was in office, but the truth is, he was never able to pass any sweeping reforms that would have threatened a balanced budget, being kept in check by a Republican congress eager to block any progressive agenda he might have. This time things are a bit different, and the last thing we need is someone continuing the bad spending habits of Bush where we want something so bad we don’t care how we spend to get it.

There I said what I needed to say.
